Cam Plant

CAM stands for Crassulacean Acid Metabolism. This plant converts the carbon dioxide it gains to acid. This acid is then stored and during the day is converted to carbon dioxide for photosynthesis. This storing happens at night so the plant can conserve as much water as it can. Above is a picture of a cactus, this cactus relies on its method to survive in the arid desert. Orchids and jade plants are also considered cam plants.
